We are the First nonprofit to Support Research into the Irrefutable Connection Between Periodontal Disease & Alzheimer’s Disease – from start to finish

Second to Age (which is not modifiable) Periodontal Disease – GUM DISEASE – ranks as the next highest risk factor for Alzheimer’s Disease. Learning what aligns these two diseases will skyrocket our understanding of Alzheimer’s Disease exponentially.
Made possible with your generous financial support.

It’s called the Microbial / Infectious Hypothesis of Alzheimer’s Disease.

And it was Alois Alzheimer’s number one guy’s theory. Dr. Karl Fischer took one look at Patient #1’s teeth and immediately connected her severe gum disease to her brain-wasting condition. But Alzheimer disagreed and forced a parting of company. While Alois and his complex hypothesis that the brain’s production of protein was causing this devastating condition, Fischer went on to document many more cases of this disease – that all involved gum disease first.
Jump almost 100 years and our latest understanding of the brain now supports that Alzheimer’s protein culprit? It’s actually the brain’s immune response to foreign invaders – like bacteria. Go figure.

Collaborative Research Support

The CAD Foundation collaboratively supports cutting-edge Alzheimer’s research in order to bring about a cure faster…by staying with our research team, listening to what they need, and to doing what it takes to see the science through-together. Join us in finally bringing the end user (patients) and the inventor (researchers) into the same discussion.

A World Without Alzheimer’s

We envision a future where Alzheimer’s disease is preventable and treatable. empowering individuals and families through education and advanced research initiatives.
